Mannequin's Ball
Bruno Jasienski

Join us for an evening of Polish Futurist theatre, poetry, manifestoes, and art. Centered upon a 30-minute contemporary performance piece based on excerpts from Bruno Jasienski’s avant-garde play “Mannequins’ Ball” (1930), conceived and directed by American/British theatre director and choreographer Allison Troup-Jensen and her COUNTERPOINT theater company, the evening will also feature additional contributions and interventions by Joanna Warsza, theater curator and producer at the Laura Palmer Foundation, Warsaw, and Marek Bartelik, Professor of Art History, Cooper Union, as well as a brief panel discussion moderated by Professor Daniel Gerould, CUNY.

Curated by Daniel Gerould and Frank Hentschker. Presented by the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center for Performa 09. Co-presented by the Polish Cultural Institute in New York.
