ABOUT WRITING LIVE
An experiment in art, writing and performance.
The focus of Writing Live 09 stage one is the practice of contemporary critical writing in relation to the work at Performa09. The Writing Live community has Performa09 at its heart, as subject and object, but it is equally invested in the practice of writing as a subject in itself, including the authority and porosity of writing, exploring the reader’s role in creating meaning, using language as material, trying expanded acts of criticism and doing critical analysis in various forms.
Writing Live 09 will produce a range of critical texts on, as, about, from and with the work seen at Performa09.
