Consortium
Drawing upon the rich cultural landscape of New York, Performa works in partnership with a consortium of New York City cultural and artistic organizations to program each biennial. Consortium members present programs developed specifically for the biennial or work closely with Performa to co-present projects. By collaborating with the diverse range of New York City presenting spaces and organizations, each Performa biennial highlights the city’s first-rate visual and performing arts community and acts as a platform for advocacy within New York-based creative industries by cross-pollinating audiences, attracting international visitors, offering wider marketing and publicity opportunities, and strengthening and expanding existing labor pools, artist resources and mutually rewarding collaborative networks.
